The Grundfos LS (horizontal split case) and LSV (vertical split case) Series represent the pinnacle of high-capacity centrifugal pump engineering for large-scale industrial and municipal applications. The axially split casing design — a hallmark of heavy-duty pump engineering — allows complete rotor assembly inspection and replacement without disturbing the pipe connections, dramatically reducing planned maintenance downtime. The double-entry impeller design self-cancels axial thrust forces, enabling extremely long bearing lifespans under sustained high-capacity operation. Critical applications include: fire fighting systems at Batam Free Trade Zone industrial estates, large-volume cooling water circulation in power generation plants, municipal raw water abstraction and treatment at PT Air Batam Hulu, and high-volume ballast water management at major Kepulauan Riau shipyards including PaxOcean and Marco Polo Marine.
